We are happy to let you know that the next module in our e-learning course Introduction to Gender-Responsive Health is now live and available at no cost.
Module 3 explores The Gendered Framework for Action on Prevention and Healthcare, a powerful tool that seeks to improve health equity, developed by the Australian Women’s Health Alliance.
After completing this module you will be able to identify the structural factors that comprise the Gendered Framework as well as gender-responsive actions you can take in your role, organisation or community.
This practical and evidence-based module builds on previous learning and gets us one step closer to the complete course, which will look like this:
- Module 1: What’s Gender Got to Do with It? Understanding Gender-Responsive Health
- Module 2: What Can Gender-Responsive Health Look Like? Gendered Inequities vs. Gender-Responsive Approaches
- Module 3: The Gendered Framework for Action on Prevention and Healthcare
- Module 4: What’s Policy Got to Do with It? Gender Equity in Public Health and Workplace Policy (coming soon)
- Module 5: What’s Next? Taking Action (coming soon)
If you’ve already done modules 1 and 2, we encourage you to build on this momentum and get stuck into module 3. If you’re new to our e-learning course, you can start from the beginning. The great thing about our course is that it is flexible and self-paced so you can do it in a time and place that suits you!
In addition to completing the modules, there are plenty of other ways to support a more gender-responsive health system. You could also:
- tell colleagues, organisations and health and social care providers about our e-learning course
- share your module completion badges on social media – demonstrating your commitment to gender-responsive health
- include the course in training and induction materials if you work in an organisation.
We are excited and proud to share this new module with you and hope it will empower you to strengthen gender-responsive approaches in your health and prevention work.
A special thanks to all the Alliance members and supporters who helped us bring this module to life.
