In June Alliance CEO Sandra Creamer attended and spoke at the ‘Western CapeHER’ Forum.
The Forum aimed to support local communities to take their wellbeing into their own hands, share health priorities and capture the challenges of all women living in the Western Cape region, including Traditional Owners.
The Forum involved guest speakers from outside of Western Cape who are subject matter experts on various women’s health issues, local women from Weipa town as well as Napranum, Aurukun and Mapoon Aboriginal communities, and local health organisations.
We hear their voices, we see them, and we will continue to work with them to raise their voices in policies and at the table we attend. We will leave no one behind, and the Western CapeHER conference is a reminder to all, no matter where you live, you are not invisible
