Our Equal State: Victoria’s Gender Equality Strategy and Action Plan 2023-2027

This state-based strategy and action plan guides decision-makers to think about the lived experiences of women and gender diverse people in legislation, policies, programs and government spending. The strategy outlines an agenda for long-term, systemic and structural reform to change the way decisions are made and how bias and discrimination embedded in our society is addressed. Our equal state takes a life course approach to gender equality, focusing on childhood and youth, adulthood, and older age.
