Prevention in Practice Example: Experts in Our Health

This Prevention in Practice example explores the Experts in Our Health Project undertaken by Women with Disabilities Victoria (WDV). It provides insights into gender-responsive approaches to health and prevention, with a particular focus on equipping service providers with the knowledge to make health services accessible.

It includes the context and need for the project, how it was developed and co-designed with diverse women with disabilities, and the results of the project. It also provides recommendations to support prevention across the health system.
